Do not install Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 unless you have 64 megs of RAM and Windows 95 B or better installed on your machine. Acrobat Reader 4.0 will work fine with 16 megs of RAM and Windows 95 A.
Our Licensing agreement with ADOBE prohibits distribution of older versions of Acrobat Reader. If you have Windows 95 A, you will need to download Acrobat Reader 4.0 from
www.adobe.com.
Note: If you use Acrobat 3.0, you will not be able to view large files, but will have to upgrade to Acrobat Reader 4.0 or better.
Installation
Instructions (Windows 2000)
Installation procedures for Windows 2000 are usually the same as
they are for other versions of Windows. Older versions of our
software, and the Demo CD use the standard installation software
Microsoft provided with their programming languages. This
install software was not fully compatible with Windows 2000.
They have since released new installation software to resolve this
problems.
Description of Problem:
The install process copies the files to disk.
The computer shuts down, reboots, and begins to copy the files
again.
Steps 1 and 2 repeat in an infinite loop.
Solution: We have a new install package we can email you to resolve
this problem.
Some
Documents Do Not Display
You
are probably using Adobe Acrobat Reader 3.0. This version of
Reader cannot display some of the larger pdf files.
Solution:
Install Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 (included in the setup directory of
your CD.
If
the text in pdf documents appears "smudged", especially when
you scroll, you are probably using an ATI Rage video adapter.
Acrobat Reader and this video adapter are not fully compatible. The documents will print correctly on
paper, but it will be difficult
reading them on the screen.

problems persist

Configuring
Adobe Acrobat Reader
Adobe Acrobat Reader will on occasion lose some settings
that results in an inability to view large documents, particularly
graphics intensive documents. This only effects the
browser plug-in. You can configure the software to
display the pdf file in the actual program (rather than
the plug-in). The pdf document will be displayed in
a separate window. Click here
to configure.
