Test
There has been
much controvercy over this test. Some claim it was a test
for perspective teachers, others claim that it was administered
in the 7th grade and could be retaken in the 8th
grade. Still others claim it was given to 8th graders
only. There are those who claim this was never an authentic
test. Most detractors (who have contacted me) are strong supporters
of government schools and object to the test, in my estimation,
because of the obvious implications which are less than complimentary
to the system these educators have built. This test appears
here because I believe this test shows what was expected of 8th
graders in 1895.

INSANITY:
Doing the same thing over and over again while expecting a different result.
Albert
Einstein
We use many of
the same text books used at the time this test was given. If insanity is doing
the same thing over and over again, while expecting a different result, perhaps
if we want the same results of yesterday, we should do what they did. It would
be insane not to. |
