"Fun!"

Author and Speed Reading teacher, George Stancliffe discovered something amazing,
Children can learn easier and faster than adults!

"I thought that learning to speed read was a lot of fun. I can now read about 10-15 thousand words a minute."--17 year old high school student diagnosed with ADHD, Kennewick, WA

Designed just for children--very easy to teach!

Does Not Require Written Homework!

Great for Adults, Too!

Children learn to speed read faster and easier than adults:

Normal reading is a left brained activity.  Speed Reading is a right brained activity. Children have wonderful immaginations.  This is a right brained activity.  People normally lose this ability as they get older, from lack of use.  Speed Reading 4 Kids will teach your child (adults too) how to visualize what they read.  Reading becomes very much like watching a movie.  Both speed and comprehension improve.

Kids with ADHS or ADD are frequently gifted:"

Because children with ADHD have brains that are wired differently than most, and speed reading uses a different part of the brain than regular reading, these children  frequently excell at it.  Many top speed readers (10,000 words per minute or faster) are ADHD.  This is wonderful.  This gives them a positive way of showing off.  One such child learned to speed read, stopped disrupting class, and read every book in the school library in just a few months.

You don't have to be able to speed read to teach others:

George Stancliff, author of SpeedReading 4 Kids, Writes:

With the help of many students and friends, we've developed a systematic method that works with children, teens and adults.  This method is so simple that anyone can teach it to children--even if the teacher does not have this skill themselves!!

You really can. I've personally known many parents, who do not have this skill, who have done just that. And it's pretty easy, too (Just follow the step-by-step instructions).

KIDS LEARN EASILY

"In September, 1997, a local school teacher invited me to teach all the kids [all aged 8-11] in one of his classes to see how well they would do.

On the second day of a 4-week experiment, one 9-year old girl could read 41 pages (of a book that I had brought) in 30 seconds, and she could tell me all about what had happened in the book. At first I thought I was in the presence of one of the world's few super-geniuses. But, the next day, when 5 more kids could do just as well, I realized that I had stumbled onto a normal, and natural phenomenon: Children are naturally gifted, if they are just shown how, and if they are allowed to use the skill on a regular basis until it becomes second nature.

By the end of 4 weeks, the only kid in the class [of 18 children] who couldn't read at least 1,300 words per minute was the rowdy one who wouldn't cooperate anyway."

George wrote a book on the subject to provide a cost effecitive, easy to use method for teaching children, and their parents this important skill.

HELPS "LEARNING DISABLED" CHILDREN TO LEARN

Many students are like Mark, who was labeled as learning disabled, and has difficulty reading slowly.  Mark is diagnosed with ADHD. Within 2 hours, he was reading with complete understanding at 14,000 words per minute (that's equivalent to a Hardy Boys book in 2 ½ minutes). He still reads just as fast. And lately he has been trying to teach his friends how to do it, too.

Mark doesn't have to struggle with this any more.
